Gigabyte Take to the Stage at Computex with their 500Hz AORUS FO27Q5P, One of the World’s Fastest QHD-OLED Gaming Monitors

Gigabyte are showcasing their new AORUS FO27Q5P monitor at Computex 2025. It was originally announced briefly at CES back in January but this is the first time we will get to see it in all its glory. This is a 27” screen built around a Gen 3 2025 Samsung Display QD-OLED panel, with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and whopping 500Hz refresh rate. This model will also support DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity with full UHBR20 80Gbps speeds for uncompressed video signals and support for next-gen graphics cards.
AORUS FO27Q5P Specs
The screen is 27” in size with a flat format. It features a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The very high 500Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, and is expected to be certified under the NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ Schemes. It is also expected to achieve the VESA ClearMR 21000 certification, a measure of motion clarity.
For HDR the screen has been certified under the VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 tier, and also includes a peak brightness spec of 1000 nits (3%APL). With this higher tier of certification compared with all previous QD-OLED monitors, it also offers a 300 nits full screen white luminance and 500 nits for 10% APL.

There are an array of gaming features including AI Black Equalizer, AI Crosshair, AI Picture Mode and Night Vision. It also has Tactical Switch 2.0 to allow you to switch resolutions instantly with one click.
BFI and VRR Anti-flicker Features
Gigabyte have enhanced the gaming features of this new screen with the addition of a couple of very useful features. Black Frame Insertion (BFI) is available to help reduce perceived motion clarity in certain gaming situations via their “Ultra Clear” setting. We have not yet confirmed which refresh rates this will be available at, but will try and do so during the show this week.

Gigabyte have also added some OLED Anti-flicker modes to this screen for use in VRR situations which will control the active VRR range and hopefully help reduce visible flicker during gaming.
One other feature worth noting is their ‘Flash Dimming Technology’, which utilizes an intelligent detection system to precisely recognize the moment a flashbang detonates, automatically adjusting screen brightness to maintain visual comfort and reduce distractions.
OLED Care and warranty

The screen comes with a 3-year warranty which includes burn-in cover and is equipped with their wide range of OLED Care features which includes an “AI-based” panel protection system designed to prevent burn-in and extend the lifespan of the display. This includes a fan-less design with a custom heatsink and graphene film panel.
Connectivity including DP 2.1
For connectivity there is 1x full size DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) connection, 1x Mini DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) connection, 2 x HDMI ports and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt Mode, data and 18W power delivery) available. There are also 2x USB ports and a headphone jack. The screen also includes 2x 5W integrated speakers, a KVM switch function and PiP/PbP support for handling multiple video inputs.
The stand provides a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
