Gigabyte Announce New 27″ FO27Q5P and MO27U2 QD-OLED Monitors

Along with other manufacturers who have announced their own versions recently, Gigabyte have announced the new FP27Q5P monitor to be showcased at CES, with a 27″ 1440p 500Hz refresh rate QD-OLED panel. This model will also support DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity with UHBR20 80Gbps speeds for uncompressed video signals and support for next-gen graphics cards.
They’ve also announced the MO27U2 which is a 27″ QD-OLED screen with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, a high 166 PPI pixel density and a 240Hz refresh rate. The press release wording implies this model will not feature DP 2.1 though.
OLED Care and Tactical Features
Both new screens are equipped with their exclusive OLED Care technology and enhanced Tactical Features, ensuring gamers a superior experience in speed, clarity, and reliability. Their OLED Care technology is an “AI-based” panel protection system designed to prevent burn-in and extend display longevity, ensuring a consistent, and vibrant viewing experience. The upgraded Tactical Features further enhance gameplay, with Tactical Switch 2.0 introducing the ability to switch resolutions and adjust to a 4:3 screen ratio for optimized display settings. Night Vision spans the entire screen, assisting FPS players to spot enemies in dimly lit areas more effectively. Meanwhile, Black Equalizer 2.0 continues to provide gamers with enhanced visibility and enriched gameplay precision.
New Certifications for the FO27Q5P
The FO27Q5P (500Hz model) is expected to achieve the new VESA ClearMR 21000 certification, and will also be certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black tier, which offers some moderate brightness improvements for HDR compared with the existing 400 tier.
Gigabyte MO27U2 Features
The Gigabyte MO27U2, featuring 4K resolution and 240Hz in a 27″ screen size has a super-high 166 PPI ensures clearer visuals. This is complemented by deltaE ≤2 colour accuracy and Pantone Validated certification, making it ideal for advanced hybrid gamers.
