iiyama Unveil Their First OLED Gaming Monitor with a 27″ 1440p 280Hz Tandem WOLED Panel

iiyama have introduced OLED panel technology into their gaming monitor line-up for the first time. The GOB2701QSC-B1, the debut model in their new G-Master Titan Falcon range, features a 27” sized screen and is built around a 4th Gen Tandem WOLED panel from LG Display, with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 280Hz refresh rate. The panel adopts a primary RGB Tandem structure featuring an RGWB sub-pixel layout, a familiar panel and spec we’ve seen from some other manufacturers in the past.

G-Master Titan Falcon GOB2701QSC-B1 Specs
The GOB2701QSC-B1 features a 27” sized screen (26.5″ accurate) with a flat format and utilises a Tandem WOLED technology panel from LG Display. It also offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 335 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, a 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99.5% of the DCI-P3, 150% of the sRGB and 95% of the Adobe RGB colour spaces.

The 280Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including support for NVIDIA ‘G-Sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ schemes to help eliminate screen tearing and enhance overall gameplay.

For HDR the screen comes with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and has a peak brightness of 1500 nits, allowing for a brighter and more colourful image with a better contrast between light and dark. The panel features an anti-reflective coating as opposed to glossy.

The stand will offer a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments, and is set to feature rear LED lighting offering a selection of colours and lighting effects to allow you to customise your set-up to suit your gaming environment. Flicker-free and Blue Light Reducer technologies are also on hand to help reduce eye strain and fatigue.
It also comes equipped with Automatic Brightness Adjustment technology which will gradually change brightness levels to stop sudden jumps in brightness changes during usage, whilst iiyama’s OLED protection function includes a number of tools designed to mitigate the risks of burn-in and prevent image retention. A 3 year warranty including burn-in cover is also offered.

Connectivity
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C (with 65W power delivery). In addition, there is a 2 port USB-A 3.2 hub, built-in KVM switch function and PiP/PbP support for handing multiple devices. There is also a headphone jack and 2x 5W speakers for audio.
