Lenovo ThinkVision P27UL-40 Announced with Inkjet Printed OLED Panel

Lenovo have recently announced their upcoming ThinkVision P27UL-40 monitor made for commercial environments and remote collaboration. This is a new 27″ sized OLED screen with a 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate built around an Inkjet Printed (IJP) OLED panel. This is the second monitor we’ve seen announced (the other being the MSI PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12) featuring a new panel from panel manufacturer TCL CSOT, who are looking to disrupt the long-standing dominance of LG Display and Samsung Display in the OLED panel market.

Lenovo ThinkVision P27UL-40 specs

The screen is 27″ in size and offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 300 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 99% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, aimed more at professional and general uses than gaming. TCL CSOT have unveiled a 240Hz IJP OLED panel for future gaming-focused displays though. The Inkjet Printing OLED panel’s RGB pixel layout also helps reduce colour fringing, providing sharper text and improved clarity.

The monitor also integrates with Lenovo laptops through synchronized brightness controls and a mirrored power button, creating a more connected workspace. For IT administrations, ThinkVision monitors feature Lenovo Display Fleet Manager, a software solution that enables remote management of connected monitors, simplifying firmware updates, centralizing asset tracking, and providing remote control of monitor settings.

Automatic OLED panel maintenance further helps preserve long-term image quality without requiring manual screen refreshes (a feature explained in our news piece here if you want to know more).

Connectivity includes 1x Thunderbolt 4, 1× DisplayPort Out, 1x Thunderbolt 4 out, 1x HDMI 2.1 and 1x DisplayPort 1.4. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
