HKC Unveil the Shield 27Q560 with up to 1060Hz Refresh Rate
At IFA 2026 HKC unveiled their new HKC Shield 27Q560 monitor, a 27″ sized screen built around a so-called “Oxide IPS” LCD panel and offering a super high refresh rate for gamers. Natively it offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 560Hz refresh rate which in itself is impressive, but this can be boosted further to 1,060Hz via a dual-mode function when dropping to a lower 720p (1280 x 720) resolution. That might be useful for certain faster paced and competitive gaming situations, or perhaps older game titles.
The new screen also has a glossy panel coating and offers a 1ms G2G response time spec, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 98% DCI-P3.
Connectivity includes 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR tier TBC) and 2x HDMI 2.1 for video, and there’s also a USB type-C data port with 15W power delivery and an audio output on offer.
Pricing and availability
HKC tell us that this new model should be released in China in November, with other regions to be confirmed. Usually there’s a 2 – 3 month lag for launch in other regions, so it would be Q1 2027 if it is indeed launched there.
