Alienware Announce the AW3226Q, a 32″ 4K Tandem WOLED Monitor with RGB-Stripe
Alienware are unveiling this week at IFA in Berlin their new AW3226Q display, a 32” sized monitor built around LG Displays newest Tandem WOLED panel technology, and featuring an RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout for exceptional colour volume, sharper text and superior black performance, even in brightly lit rooms. It will also offer a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate and has a glossy screen coating as well.
This will only be the second 32” sized screen that has been announced so far this year to feature LG Display’s RGB-stripe sub-pixel Tandem WOLED panel of this size, and follows on from the Asus ROG Swift PG32UCWM which was unveiled at Computex in June and which we reviewed last month.
Alienware AW3226Q Specs
The screen is 32” in size (31.5″ accurate), with a flat format. It offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 140 PPI pixel density, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth, featuring 1.07 billion colours, and a wide colour gamut covering 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It also comes factory calibrated with a Delta E<2 colour accuracy.
For HDR the screen is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 tier, so it isn’t as bright as some of the other modern WOLED monitors, and this is because of the removal of the white sub-pixel from the panel design. It will also offer a peak brightness spec of 1000 nits (at APL 3%) and will offer support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision content.
The 165Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems and is certified under the NVIDIA ‘G-Sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ schemes.
The display has a sleek and modern design featuring a 4-sided super narrow bezel for a near frameless viewing experience, and comes with a range of tilt, height and swivel adjustments. The screen will also feature a glossy screen coating for the Tandem WOLED panel, like we saw used on their recently launched AW3926QW. There is also an AlienFX logo and power button lighting on the rear/front of the panel.
There is also a comprehensive range of OLED care features, including their ‘personalised algorithm’ anti-burn-in technology which is designed to monitor and mitigate image retention to increase longevity of the panel. It also comes with a 3-year warranty, including burn-in coverage, for peace of mind.
Connectivity
For video connectivity there is 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1, and then there’s also 1x USB-C data port (with 15W power delivery) and 2x USB Type-A data ports along with a headphone jack. The screen also supports PiP/PbP support for handling multiple devices.

The Alienware 32 4K OLED gaming monitor (AW3226Q) will be available globally this fall at a very attractive price of $699 USD.
