Gigabyte Unleash the M27UP at Computex with a 27″ 4K 160Hz IPS Panel and Dual-Mode Support

Gigabyte have introduced a new gaming monitor in their ever-expanding product line. The M27UP features a 27” sized ‘SS’ IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, a 160Hz native refresh rate and support for a “dual-mode” technology. With the click of a button this feature allows users to drop down to a lower FHD 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080), and boost the refresh rate up to 320Hz for certain fast-paced gaming situations.

Gigabyte M27UP Specs
The screen offers a 27” display built around a ‘SS’ (Super Speed) IPS panel. It offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 1ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits SDR brightness (450 nits peak for HDR), 178/178 viewing angles, a 10-bit colour depth and supports a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 and 125% of the sRGB colour spaces. Flicker-free and Low Blue Light technologies combine for a more comfortable viewing experience and extended game play.
The 160Hz native refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync technology for VRR from compatible systems and is certified under the NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ schemes.

Other gaming features include Smart OD (offering variable overdrive support), Aim Stabiliser Sync (supporting simultaneous blur reduction with VRR), Night Vision, AI Black Equaliser, AI Crosshair, AI Picture Mode and Tactical Dual Mode. It also has Tactical Switch 2.0 to allow you to switch between resolutions with one click of the button.
The stand provides a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. The metal stand and ultra-thin 2mm base provides maximum desk space without compromising stability. A four-side ventilation system and fan-less design ensures the monitor remains cool and durable for those long gaming sessions.

Connectivity
For connectivity there is 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, along with 1x USB Type-C port (with DP Alt mode with 18W power delivery) available. There are also 3x USB ports, a headphone jack and mic input. The screen also includes 2x 5W integrated speakers, a KVM switch function and PiP/PbP support for handling multiple video inputs.
