Asus ROG Strix XG32UQWMS Unveiled with 32″ 4K Tandem WOLED Panel and 240/480Hz Dual-Mode

As part of their Computex 2026 launches, Asus revealed one of two new 32″ Tandem WOLED display this week. The ROG Strix XG32UQWMS features a 32″ Tandem WOLED panel from LG Display, featuring a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and a native 240Hz refresh rate. A dual-mode function allows you to double your refresh rate to 480Hz when dropping to a 1080p resolution, allowing you to prioritise frame rates and speed for certain gaming situations. It also features a ‘TrueBlack Glossy’ coating resulting in more vibrant colours and sharper and inkier blacks, meaning the images can really “pop” on the screen.

This is an upgrade to the XG32UCWMG (reviewed) model which was released last year with the main enhancement being an updated 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem panel structure, allowing for higher brightness levels, better colours, improved HDR capabilities and a longer lifespan.

A second 32″ Tandem WOLED model also announced

This XG32UQWMS is one of two new Tandem WOLED monitors of this size which Asus have unveiled this week, alongside the ROG Swift PG32UCWM. That uses a very similar panel, but actually has an RGB-stripe sub pixel layout, whereas this XG model features a traditional RGWB layout (with the white sub-pixel retained).

That gives users a choice depending on their use-cases, with the RGB-stripe version (ROG Swift PG32UCWM) being aimed at those who need the absolute best clarity and sharpness, perhaps for more text work and professional applications. Whereas the standard RGWB version (ROG Strix XG32UQWMS) is aimed more at multimedia and gaming usage where brightness is more of a priority.

Some other specs and features vary between the two models which we will also compare in our upcoming coverage from Computex soon.

Asus ROG Strix XG32UQWMS Specs

This is a 31.5″ sized screen (32″ class) with a flat format and offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It also offers a factory calibrated Delta E <2 accuracy too.

For HDR the screen has been certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black tier and includes a peak brightness of 1500 nits (1.5% APL). This is an improvement on the previous version of this model which had a VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification and a peak brightness spec of 1300 nits, enabled by the updated Tandem WOLED panel that’s being used here.

It will feature a full range of Asus’ OLED Care Pro feature set, including their exclusive Neo Proximity Sensor which will now have brand new adjustable Motion Sensitivity and Auto Away Timer settings so you can customise this feature to your preferences. Asus’ DisplayWidget Center software tool is also included to allow customisation of your monitor using the click of your mouse.

Connectivity and other features

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), 2x HDMI 2.1 and a USB Hub available. This is one other area which is different to the ROG Swift PG32UCWM model, which offers DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20) and an additional USB type-C connection.

The design also varies between their ROG Swift and ROG Strix models, with a smaller, more subtle stand design used here on the Strix version and no RGB lighting features.

Pricing and launch

We are told this model should also be launched in early Q3, with pricing TBC a little nearer to launch. It should be a little bit earlier than the PG32UCWM model.
