TCL CSOT to Begin Mass Production of Their First Inkjet Printed OLED Monitor Panel This Year

According to reports, TCL CSOT are set to begin mass production of their first OLED monitor panel this year, using an Inkjet printing process. According to a supply chain analyst report from Video Hall (视讯堂), the new OLED panel has just passed the internal verification required for mass production and various Chinese media are reporting that the panel could enter mass production in July 2026. This would be ahead of the planned 2027 completion of its new 8.6G OLED plant. The first panel would be a 27″ sized option with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It would offer an RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout as well. It’s also expected to offer a 300 nits brightness (SDR), 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification.

This new 27″ panel has been showcased at various exhibitions in the past in prototype form. Keep in mind that the July 2026 mass production date is for panel production, and it remains to be seen whether different brands might adopt this panel in actual monitors. TCL, who are broadening their product line-up and market reach are likely to adopt it of course in their own monitors at some point.
Inkjet printing (or “IJP”) of OLED panels is expected to eventually reduce production costs which is a positive development of course. TCL CSOT will apparently initially focus on printing medium-sized panels for monitors, laptops and tablets and we expect other monitor panel sizes to follow if this initial offering proves popular.
