Gigabyte Share Early Details For an Exciting Range of New OLED Monitors

We have some exclusive news we can share with you today about a range of upcoming monitors from Gigabyte that have not been announced publicly before. All these models have been confirmed as in development and on their roadmap, although final details and specs are subject to change. We have details for the current expected mass production and availability dates, but no pricing information at this time.

We can share all the details we know about so far though including the first 27″ 1440p QD-OLED monitor announced with an RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout, a new 32″ affordable QD-OLED Edge monitor and their first 24.5″ esports focused OLED monitor too! We’ll try and cover these in order of when they are due to go in to mass production, starting with the earliest. We’ll add images and further specs as and when we get them too.

This one has received some limited coverage online already so forgive us that this one might not be totally unknown to some of you, but as we’ve not reported on it before we will include it here for completeness. It’s a 27″ sized QD-OLED monitor built around a Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel and offering a 2560 x 1440 resolution, along with a 320Hz refresh rate.

Mass production is due mid September, so we believe some other online reports of 15 Sept availability are actually related to display mass production, not on the shelf availability. Gigabyte tell us that it should be released in Q4, we expect around mid December.

GO32U18

This is a 31.5″ sized QD-OLED monitor (32″ class) with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and 180Hz refresh rate. We understand this screen will be using a new QD-OLED Edge panel, something which we talked about and explained in our most recent OLED panel video here.

The use of a QD-OLED Edge panel should ensure a competitive price point, bring this technology to the 32″ segment after its initial introduction to the 27″ space this year already. Other specs are not yet provided, but we would expect this to feature a limited SDR brightness (likely 200 nits) and reduced HDR brightness too (400 nits peak) based on what we know about the panel and competing models announced from other manufacturers like MSI previously.

This model is due to go in to mass production towards the end of October, so it will likely be available in early Q1 2027, probably around January,

GO25F54G

This is an especially exciting new model coming to the Gigabyte OLED range. It’s a 24.5″ sized screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 540Hz refresh rate. It’s built around an LG Display Tandem WOLED panel, and should be a direct alternative to the Asus model we saw unveiled at Computex in June.

Gigabyte haven’t revealed any further specs formally to us at this stage, but we can draw some conclusions based on what we know about the Asus model, and the underlying LG Display Tandem WOLED panel. It should have an RGWB sub-pixel layout, supporting very high brightness capabilities including True Black 600 certification for HDR, a peak brightness of 1700 nits and an SDR brightness of 390 nits too. This could be another really interesting model for esports and competitive gamers, offering a much more versatile performance than common TN Film panels in this segment.

This model is due to go in to mass production in mid November 2026, so expect release during Q1 202, probably around February.

MO27Q40

Another really interesting model coming next year is the first 27″ QD-OLED monitor we’ve seen announced so far with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and an RGB stripe sub-pixel layout. At these kind of pixel densities, this is where RGB-stripe really offers the most visual improvement and benefit. We’ve already seen Samsung Display offer this on their 34″ ultrawide panels this year, and 27″ 1440p would be the next logical step. This brings noticeable improvements to text and image clarity, eliminating fringing and clarity problems from existing QD-OLED panels of this size and resolution.

We know this screen will also offer a 400Hz refresh rate, so a bit of a step up from the common 240 – 360Hz QD-OLED panels of this size. Other specs and details are TBC at this time, but we can assume this will be using a Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel, and will therefore likely offer improved brightness performance. This seems likely to offer an SDR brightness of 300 nits and HDR brightness in line with their 34″ ultrawide panel which has the same pixel density, so 1300 nits peak. We wouldn’t be surprised to see True Black 600 certification here as well given what we’ve seen announced for their latest 32″ 4K panel, but further details and specs when we have them.

This model is currently forecast to go in to mass production in mid January, so expect to see more about it at CES 2027, with availability around March/April 2027 at the moment, unless anything changes or slips.
