Samsung Launch One of the First 500Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitors with the G60SF

We provided you with brief details of this screen back in January and we are now pleased to report the official product page has now appeared on Samsung’s website in some regions which provides us with a lot more information on this new screen. The Odyssey G60SF (S27FG60) is a 27” sized QD-OLED monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a monstrous 500Hz refresh rate.

Samsung Odyssey S27FG60 Specs
The screen is 27” in size (26.5” accurately) with a flat format. It’s built around a QD-OLED panel which offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 110 PPI pixel density, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 1 million:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10- bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3. Additionally, the Odyssey OLED G6 comes Pantone Validated, with the ability to display over 2100 colours and more than 110 SkinTone shades from the Panton library apparently.
The very high 500Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, with certification granted under NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ schemes.
The stand offers tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

Other gaming features include Auto Source Switch+, Black Equalizer, Contrast Enhancer, Coresync and CoreLighting+, Super Arena Gaming UX, Ultrawide Game View and Virtual Aim Point.
Matte Anti-glare screen coating

The panel is a Gen 3 technology QD-OLED panel produced in 2025 by Samsung Display (more info on the latest QD-OLED developments here), and Samsung Electronics (the monitor manufacturer) have then added their own matte anti-glare coating to reduce reflections and glare. Samsung Electronics say that the “glare Free technology makes your screen 54% less glossy than conventional Anti-Reflection film, keeping it clear of reflections from external light sources”.

VESA DisplayHDR 500 certification
For HDR the screen has been certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black tier, and offers a peak brightness of 1000 nits. HDR10 and HDR10+ standards are supported on this monitor too. This is one of the first OLED monitors to be certified under the TB500 tier, offering some modest improvements in overall brightness for HDR as discussed in our article here.
Samsung OLED Safeguard+

Another unique feature to the screen is the use of “advanced technologies to prevent burn-ins” which includes a pulsating heat pipe which can apparently help dissipate heat five times faster than a graphite sheet, along with a thermal modulation system which helps to automatically control brightness.
Connectivity

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 2x USB data ports and a headphone jack. The screen also offers PIP/PbP support for handling multiple video inputs.
Pricing and availability
The Samsung Odyssey S27FG60 is launching in some countries now including, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, with a phased rollout globally expected later on in the year. For instance it’s available in Singapore to pre-order at a price of $1,488 SGD (around $1,150 USD) with shipping expected from 18th May 2025.
More info on availability and pricing in regions like the US and Europe when we get it.
