Philips Evnia 25M2N5200U Announced with a 390Hz 1080p IPS Panel

Philips are set to launch a new gaming monitor in their Evnia 5000 Series for gamers who want a competitive edge at a more desirable price. The Philips Evnia 25M2N5200U features a smaller 24.5” screen size, built around a ‘Fast IPS’ technology panel, offering 1920 x 1080 resolution combined with an impressive (overclocked) 390Hz refresh rate.

This is a small sized 24.5” (25” class) screen with a flat format. It’s built around a ‘Fast IPS’ panel that offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1ms G2G response time spec, low input lag, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles and an extended colour gamut covering 84% DCI-P3, 110% of the sRGB and 86% of the Adobe RGB colour spaces. It offers a factory calibrated with Delta E<2 accuracy.
The high 390Hz refresh rate of the panel is supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems. It has limited HDR support meeting a modest VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification standard only. The screen also has a 0.3ms Smart MBR response time spec indicating the availability of a strobing blur reduction mode too.

To enhance your gaming experience, features include SmartContrast, Stark ShadowBoost, a range of preset modes and Smart Crosshair settings. Low-Blue mode and Flicker-Free technologies allow for more comfortable viewing.
The stands offers tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
Connectivity
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a USB hub and 1x headphone jack.

Pricing and availability
This monitor will be available from mid-May 2025 at an MSRP of £329 GBP in the UK.
