Acer Predator X32Q FS with 32″ 4K IPS Panel, 150Hz and 1152-zone Mini LED Backlight
A new display from Acer has appeared on Chinese retailer Taobao’s website recently. The X32Q FS display sits in Acer’s popular Predator gaming line-up. It’s a 32″ sized screen with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution IPS-type panel, a 150Hz refresh rate and a 1152-zone Mini LED backlight for high-end HDR performance.
Acer Predator X32Q FS Specs
The screen is 32″ in size with an IPS-type panel. There is a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, a 1ms G2G response time spec, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth support and a wide colour gamut covering >99% AdobeRGB thanks to a Quantum Dot screen coating. The screens 150Hz refresh rate is supported by Adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems, and it should include AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ certifications.
HDR capabilities
HDR content is well supported thanks to the high-end 1152-zone Mini LED backlight, offering excellent local dimming and helping to avoid issues with blooming and halos. This can deliver a 1200 nits peak brightness too, and so along with the wide colour gamut and 10-bit colour depth support, the screen conforms to the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification tier. With 1152 zones there are actually twice as many as on the X32 FP which we reviewed quite recently.
Connections and adjustments
For video connections there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), 2x HDMI 2.1 ports (capabilities not listed) and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 65W power delivery). There are also an audio input, audio output and 4x USB 3.0 data ports available. KVM support is also included and there are even 2x 7W integrated speakers. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
Pricing and Availability
Further details including price and availability in regions such as US and Europe are still to come.
