Samsung Unveil Their Latest Gaming Monitors at Gamescom 2026

We’ve been on hand at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, to bring you all the latest monitor news and today we got to check out the Samsung Electronics booth for their latest monitor announcements. They showcased a number of new and exciting displays in their Odyssey line-up which included some exciting new OLED monitors and a 1100Hz refresh rate LCD gaming display…here is a look at what was unveiled at their press event toda.
World’s first 49” Super Ultrawide 360Hz Gaming Monitor with Dual-Mode

First up is the Samsung Odyssey G95SJ, which is part of their Odyssey OLED G9 series. It features a 49” super ultra-wide display and is built around a 5th Gen Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel. It offers a Dual QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440 and a native refresh rate of 360Hz, the first time we’ve seen an update in this OLED space since the 240Hz panel from a couple of years ago. This new panel also offers a dual-mode function which can boost your refresh rate to 720Hz when dropping to a Dual HD resolution (2560 x 720) when you want faster speeds.

This new panel also includes an RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout for sharper and clearer text, whilst its five-layer structure means it is up to 1.3 times more efficient and offers up to twice the lifetime of the previous gen panels. In other specs it will also offer a 0.03ms G2G response time spec and a peak brightness spec of 1300 nits. More details are pending at this time.

It was only briefly shown on stage, but we managed to get some photos and check it out briefly. It’s not expected to be released until H1 2027 at the moment, and we’d expect more information and pricing probably at CES in January, where it will presumably be on show again.

A new 42” 16:9 curved large format OLED gaming display

Moving on to the second announcement from the event, and this is the Samsung Odyssey G75SJ model, which is part of their Odyssey OLED G7 line-up. This features a 42” sized WOLED panel with a 1000R curvature, 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.

It also includes Samsung’s familiar Glare-Free panel coating, which uses a film coating that is 54% less glossy than conventional anti-reflection film, which is designed to reduce reflections from external light sources in well-lit rooms for clearer gameplay. It also offers a 0.03 G2G response time spec for smooth and clear motion.
Again this one is not expected to be released until H1 2027 at the moment, and we’d expect more information and pricing probably at CES in January, where it will presumably be on show again.
32″ 4K QD-OLED with 4K 360Hz and Triple-Mode support

Next up is the Samsung Odyssey G80SJ and this wasn’t actually on display here at Gamescom but here is what we know from the press event where it was announced. This features a 32” screen built around a QD-OLED panel with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and a native 360Hz refresh rate. Like the G9 model this also utilises a 5th Gen Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel with an RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout. It also features Glare Free panel coating technology to reduce reflections.
It is also set to feature a triple-mode function which can support three different resolution and refresh rate combinations to suit your gaming scenario. There’s the native 4K resolution at 360Hz, 2560 x 1440 at 520Hz and 1920 x 1080 at 680Hz.

The refresh rates are supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems which includes support for AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ schemes. For HDR it is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 tier. In other specs there is also a 0.03ms G2G response time spec.
There is plenty of connectivity options available too on this one including 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), 2x HDMI ports, 1x USB Type-C (with 96W power delivery) a USB hub and KVM switch. It’s an alternative to the MSI MPG 322URDX36 unveiled earlier in the year, and Samsung again say it’s likely to be released in H1 2027. Firmer dates and pricing to be confirmed nearer the time.
The G60H gets an extra refresh rate boost

Finally, we want to talk about the G60H model. Now again, this was not on display this week, although we did get to see it earlier in the year at CES, but it now has an improved refresh rate spec ahead of it’s expected launch during Q4.
The G60H, part of their Odyssey G6 series, is a 27” sized screen built around a ‘Fast IPS’ panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. It has a native 600Hz refresh rate at 1440p and this can be boosted to a whopping 1,110Hz at a much lower 720p / HD resolution, which is an improvement to the 1,040Hz quoted at CES. It will also offer a 1ms G2G response time spec.
