Philips 40B1U6903CH is a 40″ Ultrawide Business Monitor with 5K2K Resolution and Thunderbolt 4
Announced today is the new Philips 40B1U6903CH (another very memorable product name there!), a 40″ sized monitor (well, 39.7″ to be precised) with a 5120 x 2160 “5K2K” resolution, subtle 2500R curvature and a range of features aimed at business and produictivity uses. It has a built-in 5MP webcam, noise-cancelling microphone and thunderbolt 4 docking station.

In other specs the screen has a 5120 x 2160 resolution IPS panel, 4ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit + FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 98% DCI-P3 gamut (~134% sRGB). It will come factory calibrated with a dE <2. While the screen only supports up to 75Hz maximum refresh rate, adaptive-sync is supported for limited VRR range of 48 – 75Hz.
The screen includes some additional features for its target audience including a Smart Uniformity mode, a 5MP Windows Hello compatible webcam, noise-cancelling microphone, PiP/PbP support and a KVM function too.
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), 2x HDMI 2.0 and 1x Thunderbolt 4 (with DP Alt mode, 90W power delivery and data). PiP and PbP modes will be supported to handle multiple inputs on the large format screen, and it will also include a KVM function if you need it. There will also be 1x USB-C data port (with 45W power delivery) and 4x USB data ports available as asll as an audio output, mic input and Ethernet RJ45 connections.
The stand will provide tilt, height and swivel adjustments.
Pricing and Availability
The monitor will be available for purchase from June 2023 in the UK and at a price of £1499.99.
