Alienware Unveil the AW2527HX with a 24.5″ 1080p 560Hz QD-OLED Panel for Esports Gamers
Alienware are showcasing a new small-format gaming display at this years IFA event in Berlin, Germany, aimed at professional esports gamers. Following collaboration with their esports partner, Team Liquid, the AW2527HZ is a 24.5” sized screen and is built around a Samsung Display 5th Gen Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel, and offers an impressive 560Hz refresh rate along with a standard 1920 x 1080 resolution, targeting the competitive gaming and Esports market.
This QD-OLED panel will feature a true RGB-stripe subpixel arrangement as well, enhancing the image and text clarity and eliminating fringing issues that have impacted earlier QD-OLED monitor panels. The panel incorporates a matte AGLR coating to minimise glare and reflections.
Alienware AW2527HX Specs
This is a 24.5” sized screen QD-OLED panel with a flat format. In other specs the screen has a 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It also comes factory calibrated with a Delta E<2 colour accuracy. For HDR the screen is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 tier, with a peak brightness spec of 1500 nits.
The 560Hz refresh rate, which is Alienware’s fastest refresh rate on offer to date, is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, and is certified under the NVIDIA ‘G-Sync Compatible’ scheme.
The screen is designed with tournament play in mind offering a telescopic stand with height markers with an extension adjustment range of 155mm, an improvement on the standard 110mm which is typical of similar size monitors. It also includes a small and rotatable base, a 45-degree tilt adjustment, and a headset hanger on the rear of the panel.
OLED care includes “graphite heat dispersion” and their “personalised algorithm” anti-burn-in technology which is designed to monitor and mitigate image retention to increase longevity of the panel. It also comes with a 3-year warranty, including burn-in coverage, for peace of mind.
Connectivity will include DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 13.5) which is sufficient to support the full spec without DSC if you’ve got a compatible DP 2.1 GPU.

Availability and pricing
The AW2527HX will be available in Q1 2027, but pricing is to be announced closer to availability.
