We know a lot of people have been eagerly awaiting news on the LG UltraGear 32GX870B monitor which was announced at the start of the year as part of LG’s CES press release, but which actually wasn’t on show at the event itself for some reason. As a result, we haven’t even seen it in person yet.

Other models from CES 2026 have already started to go on sale, including their 27GM950B 27″ 5K Mini LED model, their 39″ ultrawide 5K2K 39GX950B OLED model and their massive 52″ 5K2K Curved 52G930B LCD; and now finally the product pages have started to appear online for this exciting new 32″ Tandem WOLED screen. This should signal the first wave of new-orders in some regions, and the release of this screen more widely over the next couple of months. It also gives us a more complete spec and some further information which we will cover in this news piece.

LG UltraGear 32GX870B specs

This screen is 31.5″ in size and has a flat format. It features the latest 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem WOLED panel technology, the first time that this has been used in the 32″ OLED segment, and it’s the only monitor announced so far featuring this new panel (although Computex is coming up very soon so hopefully we might see more!)

It offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, ~140 PPI pixel density, 0.03ms G2G response time, 335 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a 99.5% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Refresh rate has not been updated compared with the earlier 32″ WOLED panels, with this screen offering a 240Hz native, and a dual-mode function which supports 480Hz at 1080p. Adaptive-sync offers VRR support from compatible systems and includes certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’, NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and VESA ‘AdaptiveSync’ schemes.

LG’s model will offer a matte anti-glare screen coating. Before you ask, there’s no word on any glossy monitors using this panel at this stage.

Tandem WOLED improvements

Brightness has been improved thanks to the new Tandem WOLED panel, offering 335 nits for SDR (up from 275 nits on their existing 32″ WOLED monitors) and 1500 nits peak for HDR (at 1.5% APL, an increase from the current 1300 nits). This also allows it to be certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black tier, instead of the previous True Black 400 tier.

Along with the brightness improvements, the Tandem WOLED panel offers improved colours, with a 99.5% DCI-P3 colour gamut quoted, although we saw pretty major advancements to Rec.2020 coverage as well from the other Tandem WOLED panels we’ve tested before (e.g. their latest 39″ ultrawide panel). It also offers improved black depth in well-lit rooms compared with earlier Gen WOLED panels.

Connectivity and other features

Connectivity includes 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20, 80Gbps tier), 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode, data and 90W power delivery) and 2x HDMI 2.1 connections. There’s also 2x USB-A data ports and a headphone jack.

Hardware calibration is supported like on LG’s other OLED monitors, a feature actually unique in the consumer OLED space to LG right now. There’s also 2x 7W integrated speakers and a fully adjustable stand with tilt, height, swivel and rotate available.

LG’s new AI features are also included like we saw on their new 39″ ultrawide OLED, including AI Upscaling, AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound. You can find more information on how these perform and use-cases where they are available in our review.

The display size can also be switched to 24.5″, which is widely used in esports tournaments, or it can also be switched to 27″ if you prefer.

Pricing and availability

While this screen has not yet appeared on LG’s US or European product pages, it has appeared now on their Japan page where it is available for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin from 11 June 2026. It’s priced at ¥169,800 which is around $1,085 USD or around £800 GBP, although that’s perhaps a “before tax / VAT” price. We’ll have to wait for other regional product pages to appear for more information on pricing and release dates.
