MSI Introduces the MEG X 34″ QD-OLED Monitor with Built-in A.I. Features

Following on from the announcement of their new MPG 341CQR X36 monitor today, that we’ve already reviewed in full here, MSI also announced the return of their flagship MEG series with the ‘MEG X’, what they are referring to as “a true AI gaming monitor” which will be debuting at CES 2026. Building on the capabilities of the MPG model (specs below), the MEG X offers a 34″ ultrawide monitor with a new 360Hz refresh rate 5th Gen QD-OLED panel, and integrates “advanced AI functions to elevate gameplay, including a full suite of AI Gaming features and AI Robot Lite.”
AI Capabilities Explained

MSI’s press release says: “The MEG X redefines game assistance by analyzing on-screen visuals in real time, without requiring support from specific games. Players can enjoy AI assistance regardless of the game. With six smart assist features—AI Tracker, AI Gauge, AI Vision+, AI Scene, AI Goggle, and AI Scope—the MEG X makes advanced support simple and instant. A single click activates AI assistance, helping players perform better or allowing newcomers to get comfortable faster in single-person gameplay or practice mode, resulting in a smoother, more approachable gaming experience.”
We’ll provide further information and coverage from CES this week once we’ve had chance to see the new screen in action ourselves.
MSI Exclusive AI Robot Lite: No-Hands Smart Assistant
The press release says that this new display “takes monitor control to the next level with its exclusive AI Robot Lite. Using simple voice commands, it acts like an extra hand during critical gaming moments, enabling key monitor features to be activated effortlessly. It also functions as a convenient PC assistant, quickly opening required settings or menus without any hassle.”
MSI MEG X Specs
The full model name is not provided at this time, but we know that this uses the same 5th Gen QD-OLED panel as the MPG 341CQR X36 they announced at the same time. You can find loads more information about the panel improvements and updates in our review here.
We know then that this new MEG X model features a 34” ultrawide 5th Gen QD-OLED panel with a subtle 1800R curvature. It has a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 21:9 aspect ratio, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3. The new panel offers a true RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout for improved text and image clarity, along with their ‘DarkArmor’ coating which improves black depth in brighter rooms, reduces purple tinting and improves coating hardness.
The screen has a 360Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems. The new 5th-Gen QD-OLED panel offers updated HDR capabilities with certification under the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 tier and a peak brightness spec of 1300 nits (with 3% APL).
We would assume features such as OLED Care 3.0, their AI Care Sensor, new customizable HDR modes and MPRT blur reduction mode are all supported as well, but we will confirm soon. We will also confirm connectivity and other features at CES.
