Gigabyte Launch the G27UP with 27″ 4K 160Hz IPS Panel and Dual Mode

Gigabyte have released a further dual-mode screen for those gamers who want to easily switch between high resolution and high refresh rate gaming situations. This 27″ sized ‘SuperSpeed’ IPS panel boasts a 3840 x 2160 “4K” UHD resolution and a native 160Hz refresh rate. You can also double your refresh rate to 320Hz when dropping to a lower 1080p FHD resolution if you’d rather for certain gaming situations.
Gigabyte G27UP Specs

The screen is 27” in size with a flat format. It is built around a ‘Super Speed’ IPS LCD technology panel and offers a 3840 x 2160 resolution, 1ms G2G response time spec (0.5ms MPRT), 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 and 129% of the sRGB colour spaces.
The 160Hz native refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync technology for VRR from compatible systems and is certified under the NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ schemes. Other gaming features include Smart OD, Aim Stabiliser Sync, Night Vision and Black Equaliser 2.0. It also has Tactical Switch 2.0 to allow you to switch between resolutions with one click of the button.

The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments, whilst Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies are included to help reduce eye strain for your ultimate comfort. Also worth a mention is the screen’s four-sided cooling system design which helps ensure the monitor remains stable and cool during those long gaming sessions.
Connectivity

For connectivity there are 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, USB 2.0 Type-A port and USB Type-C port (with DP Alt mode and 15W power delivery). In addition there is a headphone jack, KVM switch function and PiP/PbP support for handling multiple video inputs.
