BenQ Launch the MOBIUZ EX Series, the World’s First ‘Game Art’ Monitors

BenQ have recently unveiled their new MOIBIUZ EX series of gaming monitors. These new screens have been purpose-built for open-world game explorers, and introduces Smart Game Art, a BenQ-exclusive technology that “intelligently adapts to different art styles, along with Spectral Colour Refinement and High Pixel Contrast technologies for breath-taking immersion in story-driven and open-world games.”

Our research shows that today’s gamers want more than action—they’re drawn to atmosphere, detail, and artistry,” said Ajen Liao, Head of IT Display Products at BenQ Corporation. “We see gaming as a visual journey across beautifully crafted worlds. That is why the new MOBIUZ EX Series is designed to bring those aesthetic elements to life. We analysed games in depth, fine-tuned colour details based on game art books to reflect creators’ artistic intent and players’ immersive expectations.

This launch marks a major step in BenQ’s ongoing commitment to enhancing gaming experiences through colour expertise. With a deep understanding of game art and advanced display technologies, we connect gamers and creators, helping them fully embrace and express their creative spirit.

The new MOIBUZ EX Series Screens

The new models being released are available in 27″ and 32″ sizes. There’s the EX271UZ, EX321UZ, and EX271QZ which are all built around Samsung Display QD-OLED technology panels. The product page and specs are only finalised for the EX271UZ so far, but we can make educated guesses at the key specs of the other two models based on the information in the press release, and the QD-OLED panels we know to exist:

  • EX271UZ – 27″ with 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate, Gen 4 QD-OLED panel (full product page here)
  • EX321UZ – 31.5″ in size which should mean it will offer a 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate using a 3rd Gen QD-OLED panel
  • EX271QZ – 27″ in size. Despite the press release mentioning these screens will have “refresh rates up to 540Hz”, we’ve confirmed with BenQ that the fastest model will feature the 500Hz QD-OLED panel we’re already aware of, as featured on some other OLED monitors like the MSI MAG 272QP X50 we’ve already reviewed. That’s a mistake in the press release. With that in mind, this model should offer 1440p at 500Hz using an enhanced Gen 3 QD-OLED panel.

They all offers specs including a 0.03ms G2G response time, FreeSync Premium Pro certification for VRR, along with a wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. HDMI 2.1 connectivity supports consoles including features like VRR and ALLM. eARC sound is also mentioned in the press release, something not commonly found on desktop monitors. The EX321UZ model will sport DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity with UHBR20 / 80Gbps bandwidth as well, but the other two models use DP 1.4 with DSC. More specs for the EX271UZ are available on BenQ’s product page. We’ll provide further updates on the other models when they are finalised.

Colour Shuttle – the Smart Game Art Colour Optimisation

With recent game titles placing increasing emphasis on distinctive art direction, lighting, and cinematic presentation, BenQ’s Colour Shuttle offers over 120 tailored colour profiles for gamers, delivering optimised visuals that match each game’s art style. Powered by Smart Game Art—the world’s first deep-learning system trained on a AAA Game Art Colour Database—this software automatically detects a game’s visual identity, from stylised anime to photorealistic RPGs, and applies the perfect colour settings, ensuring gamers enjoy the best experience without manual adjustments.

Spectral Colour Refinement for Full-Spectrum Artistic Detail

BenQ’s proprietary Spectral Colour Refinement enhances immersion by eliminating visible banding and smoothing gradation across highlights and shadows to reveal fine textures often lost on conventional displays. By tuning each monitor with full-spectrum colour intelligence, BenQ ensures colour fidelity worthy of cinematic AAA titles and the art direction of upcoming releases.

Pixel-Level Dynamic Contrast Enhancement

Paired with Spectral Colour Refinement, High Pixel Contrast dynamically adjusts brightness and shadow detail on a pixel-by-pixel basis. The result is greater depth, clarity, and dimensionality, bringing dark caverns, sunlit ruins, and twilight cities to life with dynamic realism.

Pricing and availability

  • EX271UZ will retail for £849.99 GBP, and should be available in Q1 2026
  • EX321UZ will retail for £1,149.99 GBP, and should be available Q2 2026
