Philips Evnia 25M2N3200U Announced with 24.5″ 1080p IPS Panel and 310Hz Overclocked Refresh Rate

Philips have unveiled a further gaming monitor in their Evnia 3000 series. The 25M2N3200U is a 24.5″ ‘Fast IPS’ panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a native 300Hz refresh rate which can be overclocked to 310Hz.
Philips Evnia 25M2N3200U Specs
This is a small 24.5″ sized screen with a flat format, aimed at gamers who are still looking for a smaller sized screen to focus on during competitive situations, or who want to focus on pushing frame rates instead of resolution,
It’s built around a ‘Fast IPS’ LCD technology panel that offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 90 PPI pixel density, 1ms G2G response time spec (0.3ms MPRT spec), 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and an extended colour gamut covering 123% of the sRGB and 91% of the DCI-P3 colour spaces. It also comes with factory calibrated Delta <2 colour accuracy. Being an IPS panel you don’t need to sacrifice in picture quality, colours and viewing angles like you do on common 24.5″ sized TN Film gaming screens.

The high 300Hz (310Hz overclocked) is supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible system and has been certified under the NVIDIA ‘G-sync compatible’ scheme. It has limited HDR support meeting a modest VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification standard only and offers a peak brightness of 450 nits.

Gaming features include Low Input Lag, Smart Crosshair, Stark ShadowBoost, Smart Sniper and Shadow Enhancement. Another interesting feature is it comes equipped with Philips’ SmartImage Game mode technology which adapts a display’s settings to optimise your gaming experience by adjusting brightness, contrast, colour and sharpness in real time depending on what type of game genre you are playing. For example there is a specific “FPS” pre-set for highlighting dark areas. It also comes with Evnia Precision Centre software to allow you to personalise your monitor to suit your gaming needs
The stand offers tilt, height swivel and rotate adjustments for your comfort and eye-protective features of Flicker-Free and LowBlue Mode technologies help reduce fatigue during long gaming sessions.
Connectivity

For connectivity this screen offers 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and a headphone jack.
Availability and pricing
The Philips Evnia 25M2N3200U is expected to be available mid-October for the bargain price of £159.99 GBP.
