Asus have announced details of two new monitors being released in their ProArt series, aimed at professional users and colour enthusiasts. There is a 27” and a 32” sized model, with 5K and 6K resolutions respectively, offering super-high detail and pixel density for exceptional image quality.

The Asus ProArt PA27JCV is a 27” sized screen with a 5120 x 2880 “5K” resolution (218 PPI), while the Asus ProArt PA32QCV is a larger 31.5” sized screen with an even high 6016 x 3384 “6K” resolution. Both utilise IPS-type panels and offer a wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB.

The following information is specifically mentioned for the 27” model, although we expect it largely applies to the 32” model as well.

The screens are designed to be colour-accurate and includes factory calibration which has been ‘Calman Verified’, including a dE <2. They should feature a range of colour space emulation modes too. ‘LightSync Solutions’ technology offers a ‘backlight sensor’ apparently allows the display to bypass warm-up time, so you can start creative work immediately with a high level of colour performance. A built-in ambient light sensor also dynamically controls the screen brightness depending on your room conditions and viewing environment

Asus are promoting the screens ‘LuxPixel’ AGLR (Anti-glare, low reflection) screen coating which creates a “paper like” effect that minimizes distracting reflections and glare even in well-lit rooms.

The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. Connectivity includes USB type-C (with DP Alt mode, data and 96W power delivery) as well as DisplayPort and HDMI connections. An Auto KVM switch function is also included.

Pricing and release dates have not yet been announced. Further information is to follow from Asus in the coming months.
