You Choose Our Next Review

We want to start giving our audience more say in the content we produce here at TFTCentral, making sure we have chance to review the monitors everyone is most interested in. We will of course continue to feature the latest and most exciting monitors anyway, but something new we are exploring is taking nominations from our members – and then creating a poll to vote – on which monitor we should review next. This gives our audience a chance to request additional reviews of screens they’d really like to see featured, that might otherwise not get covered in our normal schedule. This might be older models we’ve missed previously, new manufacturers we’ve not really explored much before, or perhaps more unusual niche displays.
How will this work?
- Probably around once a month we will create a new post on our Patreon page for our Insider tier and above and seek NOMINATIONS for suggested monitors we should review. If you agree with someone else’s nomination, you can second it there as well.
- We will gather the various nominations made by our Insiders and look in to the feasibility of getting hold of samples of the screens that have been suggested – this may depend on various factors like the support of various PR teams in the UK, stock availability, release dates etc.
- We’ll try and narrow it down to 5 nominations that we can get hold of in theory, and then create a poll here on the website, and perhaps on our X/Twitter too, for all of our audience to VOTE. The actual monitors in the vote will only be those nominated by our Patreon Insiders, but a wider vote will allow every reader to vote as well.
- We’ll then get hold of the winning monitor and review it. Then repeat this again hopefully on a monthly basis.
Timelines
We’d expect the whole process to take around a month, so nominations received now would likely result in the review being published in around a month’s time, or early April. This process will hopefully get slicker then in time. You will always find the latest “nominations” post on our Patreon page to add your suggestions to or provide comment on.
Nominate now!
So, if you’re already a TFTCentral Insider or would like to join to support the site, let’s have some nominations of screens we should look to review in the near future in our first nominations post here.
