Gigabyte Announce Five New Gaming Monitors – G27F, G27Q, G27FC, G27QC and G32QC
Gigabyte are continuing to make noise in the monitor market with the announcement of several new monitors in their gaming range. There are 5 new models in total, four of which are 27″ and one of which is a new 32″ sized format. There are a range of curved and flat options as well as different resolutions and panel technologies being used. More information is available below
G27F
A flat format 27″ model with 1920 x 1080 resolution IPS panel. This model has 144Hz refresh rate and is supported by adaptive-sync support for VRR from both AMD and NVIDIA systems. There is also a 117% sRGB gamut (92% DCI-P3) and integrated 2x2W speakers. A 1ms MPRT spec is listed as well implying the availability of a motion blur reduction backlight.
G27Q
A flat format 27″ model with higher 2560 x 1440 resolution IPS panel. This model has 165Hz refresh rate via an overclock function, and adaptive-sync support for VRR from both AMD and NVIDIA systems. A 1ms MPRT spec is listed as well implying the availability of a motion blur reduction backlight. There is a 120% sRGB / 92% DCI-P3 gamut offered as well.
G27FC
A curved 1500R format 27″ display with 1920 x 1080 resolution VA panel, 165Hz refresh rate and adaptive-sync (FreeSync Premium certified). There is also a 90% DCI-P3 gamut spec and integrated 2x2W speakers. A 1ms MPRT spec is listed as well implying the availability of a motion blur reduction backlight. There is a 120% sRGB / 90% DCI-P3 gamut offered as well.
G27QC
A curved 1500R format 27″ display with higher 2560 x 1440 resolution VA panel, 165Hz refresh rate and adaptive-sync (FreeSync Premium certified). A 1ms MPRT spec is listed as well implying the availability of a motion blur reduction backlight. There is a 120% sRGB / 92% DCI-P3 gamut offered as well.
G32QC
A 32″ class (possibly 31.5″ in size) screen with a curved 1500R format, 2560 x 1440 resolution VA panel and 165Hz refresh rate. This is Gigabyte’s first model above 27″ in size. Adaptive-sync is again supported including the FreeSync Premium Pro certification level. There is a 94% DCI-P3 gamut (124% sRGB) as well. A 1ms MPRT spec is listed as well implying the availability of a motion blur reduction backlight.
Gigabyte list “G-sync Compatible” in the specs for all these new screens, but they are not yet listed on NVIDIA’s site so either this has not yet been updated by NVIDIA, or the application is in progress. In which case we don’t think the brand should be used until the certification is formally granted as it is quite misleading.
