AOC Announce the AGON AGP327KG, a Glossy 5K G-Sync Pulsar Gaming Monitor
AOC, in collaboration with NVIDIA, introduced at Gamescom this week the new AGON AGP327KG which NVIDIA are calling “the world’s first 5K gaming monitor with G-Sync support”. Although actually we saw a very early prototype / concept from Acer back at Computex all the way back in June 2025, which hasn’t been seen since. Anyway, this is a large 31.5” sized screen built around an IPS LCD panel with a glossy screen coating, and offering high resolution of 5120 x 2880 “5K” and a 144Hz native refresh rate. It will also support a dual-mode function for 1440p at 240Hz, which is not quite the drop that common 4K/1080p screens have to make in dual-mode.
G-sync Pulsar Information
The screen also supports NVIDIA’s G-sync Pulsar technology, which allows you to use a strobing blur reduction backlight at the same time as G-sync VRR in gaming. This technology sets a new standard for competitive gaming, ensuring precise aiming and crystal-clear motion even during the most fast-paced gameplay. We were very impressed by the performance when we tested one of the first wave of 27″ 1440p 360Hz models launched earlier this year
We were told by NVIDIA at a demo at Gamescom that it will continue to offer features we saw on the 27″ models including 60Hz and 120Hz ULMB2 operation. The Pulsar VRR range will be 75 – 144 / 240Hz. They also tell us that they are pushing brightness even further and expect to be able to reach as high as 500 nits for Pulsar operation!
This screen also includes G-sync Ambient Adaptive Technology. Using a built-in light sensor, the monitor automatically adjusts colour temperature and brightness to suit optimal viewing conditions at any time of day. Whether in a dimly lit room or a sunlit environment, the display adapts in real-time to minimize eyestrain and maintain consistent visual clarity. Like all G-sync monitors, it offers accurate colours, low-latency HDR, and is rigorously tested for maximum performance and quality consistency.
Pricing and availability
No official word on pricing and availability at this stage, but we expect it will probably be showcased more widely at CES in January and released soon after, following on from the 27″ launches this year.
