Dell UltraSharp U2421HE and U2721DE Information Released

Dell look set to release two new models in their popular UltraSharp range. Although official spec pages haven’t appeared yet on Dell.com there is some early information available via their support pages, including the monitor user guide which tell us a fair bit about these new screens. There are two new models, the 23.8″ U2421HE and the 27″ U2721DE.

The U2421HE is a 23.8″ sized model with an IPS panel and 1920 x 1080 resolution, while the U2721DE is a 27″ model with an IPS panel and a 2560 x 1440 resolution. In other specs both screens offer an 8ms G2G response time (5ms G2G in fast mode), 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles and 16.7m colour depth. They also both offer a standard 99% sRGB colour gamut and come factory calibrated with a dE <2. The brightness spec is 250 cd/m2 on the smaller model, and 350 cd/m2 on the larger.

The stands offer a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. For connectivity there are USB type-C, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort Out provided. The screen also offers an RJ45 which allows a single cable network-connected experience when using the USB type-C connection. There are also 4x USB ports (2 with easy access on the side of the screen) and an audio out connection.
