Dell UltraSharp U2422H/HE and U2722D/DE Monitors Launched
These screens have been available for a little while already but we have not previously covered them. Dell have launched their new 2022 range of ever-popular UltraSharp monitors, including new 24″ and 27″ class options. This includes the 23.8″ sized U2422H and U2422HE models which are the same screen with same panel and specs, but the latter of which has a USB type-C hub added. These are 1080p resolution options in a smaller size. Similarly there is the 27″ U2722D and U2722DE, with the DE model including USB type-C and both offering a larger format and 1440p resolution using the same panel. The UltraSharp range is aimed at general all round uses and have been popular for many years for their strong all-round performance.
Low Blue Light Comfort and IPS Panels
Dell promote how you can optimize eye comfort with ComfortView Plus—an always on, built-in low blue light screen that reduces blue light emissions while delivering excellent colour. All 4 models use IPS technology panels delivering strong all round performance. With a four-sided, ultra-thin bezel, you can work with a clear, edge-to-edge display. Use the daisy-chain feature for a seamless multi-monitor setup.
Connectivity options including USB type-C (on E models only)
For connectivity the E models (U2422HE and U2722DE) include a USB type-C connection which serves as a productivity hub that delivers stable Ethernet and up to 90W of power delivery to your laptop. You can also simplify your experience with MAC address pass-through, PXE Boot, and Wake-on-LAN conveniently built in. If you’re a Dell laptop user (from compatible models) there is an additional useful feature where you can simply press the monitor power button and the power sync feature seamlessly starts your monitor and connected Dell PC, even when the laptop lid is closed.
Quick-access USB-C (data only, not video) and super speed USB 10Gbps ports located at the front of the monitor enable fast connections to peripherals and mobile device charging with up to 15W of power via USB-C. Those front access ports are also included on the other models, not just the E versions.
