Dell have launched a new gaming monitor in their line-up with the new G2723H monitor. The screen is 27″ in size with a 1080p resolution ‘Fast IPS’ panel and a high 280Hz overclocked refresh rate from its 240Hz native refresh rate. It supports adaptive sync for VRR from both NVIDIA and AMD systems, and includes the NVIDIA G-sync Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certifications as well.
Spec wise the screen offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 0.5ms G2G minimum response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 1.07b colour depth (8-bit+FRC) and a standard 99% sRGB colour gamut.
There are three pre-set gaming profiles including: Sports, FPS, and RGP mode. You can also customize up to three personal profiles for ease of access during in-game situations. Also built in to the screen are common gamer-centric tools like a Timer, Frame Rate Counter and Dark Stabilizer, which improves visibility during shadow-intensive game scenes. The Dell G2723H Gaming Monitor also offers four unique “overlays” that provide improved visibility apparently in gaming. There are Night Vision – Improves contrast and clarity during dark game scenes for enhanced visibility. Clear Vision – Enhances details and clarity in daytime game scenes. Chroma Vision – Dynamically applies a heat map to any game environment to help differentiate game objects from the background. Crosshair – “Always Visible” in game and helps assist in aiming for those tougher fights.
The stand includes a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI (v2.0 we believe), 4x USB 3.2 data ports and a headphone jack provided.
