Dell Alienware AW2523HF with 1080p 360Hz and AW2723DF with 1440p 280Hz Announced
Dell have announced two new gaming monitors in their Alienware series of monitors. The new models are the 24.5″ AW2523HF and the 27″ AW2723DF. Both are focused on high bandwidths with the smaller model offering a 1080p resolution at 360Hz, and the larger model offering 1440p at 280Hz maximum. The full specs and details are included below, but one thing Dell were keen to highlight in the press release is that both these monitors are their first to feature a retractable headset hanger, helping make your gaming setup clutter-free.
Dell Alienware AW2523HF Specs
This model is 24.5″ in size and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution Fast IPS panel combined with a 360Hz refresh rate. There’s also a 0.5ms G2G quoted response time (although take with a pinch of salt) and support for adaptive-sync giving you variable refresh rate support for both NVIDIA and AMD systems. This includes AMD FreeSync Premium and the new VESA AdaptiveSync certifications. In other specs there is a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and a standard sRGB gamut only (99% coverage).
The new revamped “Legend 2.0 design” now features a hexagonal base for an optimized footprint and free and easy movement of the mouse and keyboard for the ideal eSports setups. The new integrated retractable headset hanger keeps your headset off the desk and out of the way when not in use. For customized comfort, the fully-adjustable stand with height markers features swivel, pivot, height and tilt adjustments. For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports for video as well as a range of USB data ports, a headphone out and audio out jack.
The 24.5″ 1080p 360Hz model will be available in the UK from 7 September 2022 for £399 GBP.
