Acer Unveil an Impressive Line-up of New Nitro Monitors at IFA 2025

Acer have unveiled four new monitors in their Nitro Gaming series which are set to be released in early 2026. The Nitro XV275K V6, XV273U W1, XV270X and the XZ403CKR models were showcased at this years IFA exhibition in Berlin and include a selection of high resolution and high refresh rate displays to suit all gamers.

First up is the Nitro XV275K V6 which is an updated version of the V5 model, specifically bringing enhancements to the refresh rate and colour gamut of the screen. The V6 has a 27” sized screen built around an IPS panel. It offers a “4K” 3840 x 2160 resolution and 180Hz refresh rate. A dual mode function allows you to double your refresh rate to 360Hz whilst dropping your resolution to 1080p for certain gaming situations too. This improves on the V5 model which offered a slightly slower 4K at 160Hz and 1080p at 320Hz.

In other specs it delivers 163 PPI pixel density, 1ms Visual Response Boost Pro (VRB Pro) response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles, 600 nits brightness (SDR), an 8-bit+FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 97% of the DCI-P3 and 99% of the Adobe colour spaces. The DCI-P3 colour space has increased from 90% DCI-P3 on the V5 model. The monitor is also equipped with Flicker-free and Low Blue Light technologies to provide a more comfortable viewing experience.

The 360/180Hz refresh rates are supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme. For HDR it offers a peak brightness of 1000 nits (10% APL) and is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 scheme, thanks to the use of a 576-zone Mini LED backlight.
For connectivity there are 2x HDMI 2.1 connections and 2x DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and the stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
The XV275K V6 is expected to be available to buy in North America in Q1 2026 at an expected price of $699.99 USD, with its release in other regions not too far behind in Q2 of the same year at a price of €599 Euro for example.

Acer Nitro XV273U W1 with 1440p @ 275Hz IPS Panel

The second new screen being announced is the Nitro XV273U W1 which is a 27″ sized IPS panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and an unusual 275Hz refresh rate. In other specs there is a 1ms VRB Pro response time,1000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles, 400 nits brightness (SDR), 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The 275Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR, including is certified under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme. For HDR it is certified under the VESA ‘DisplayHDR 500′ tier and offers a peak brightness of 500 nits, with more basic edge lit local dimming used here.
The monitor provides a unique design which includes a black panel and a white base and the stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. There are a variety of connectivity options including 2x HDMI 2.1 connections, 2x DisplayPort 1.4 input, built in 2x 2W speakers and an audio output.
This model is expected to be available in North America in Q1 2026, priced at $299.99 USD with availability in other regions soon thereafter, priced at €279 Euro for example.
Acer Nitro XV270X with 27″ 5K IPS Panel and Dual-mode support

Up next is the XV270X model which again is a 27″ sized IPS panel, this time boasting an impressive “5K” 5120 x 2880 resolution, 218 PPI pixel density, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms VRB response time, 178/178 viewing angles, 350 nits brightness (SDR) / 400 nits peak (HDR), 8-bit + FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space.
Dual mode allows you to double the native 72Hz refresh rate to 144Hz at 1440p resolution for gaming which is an interesting option. Like the previous offerings the refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme.
For connectivity there are 2x HDMI 2.1 connections and 2x DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and the screen also offers 2x 2W speakers and a headphone jack. Again the monitor offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments for you to set your optimum viewing position.
Like Acer’s other 27″ offerings the XV270X this is expected to be available globally in Q1 2026 at a retail price of $899.99 USD, or €699 Euro which is an attractive price point for a high-resolution screen like this.
Acer Nitro XZ403CKR Specs a 40″ ultrawide with 5K2K

Last but by no means least is the XZ403CKR, the largest offering in their latest releases. This boasts a 39.7″ (40″ class) ultrawide screen with 1000R curvature. It features a VA panel with “5K” 5120 x 2160 resolution and 180Hz refresh rate. If you are willing to drop the resolution to 2560 x 1080 you can boost the refresh rate up to 288Hz as well using a dual-mode function.
Other specs include 1ms VRB and 0.5ms G2G response time spec, 3300:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 400 nits peak brightness (HDR), an 8-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The dual refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme.
There is an array of connectivity options which include 2x HDMI 2.1 connections and 2x DisplayPort 1.4 inputs. There’s also a USB Type-C port (with DP Alt mode, data and 90W power delivery), and the screen features 2x 5W speakers and a headphone jack. The monitor offers a tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments so you can customise for your own comfort level.
The XZ403CKR will be available across all regions in Q1 2026 with a price tag of $999.99 USD or €999 Euro.
