Iiyama Launch Two New 32″ Fast IPS QHD Gaming Monitors

Iiyama have recently launched two extremely affordable monitors in their expanding G-Master gaming series, in two different ranges. Both the Gold Phoenix GB3290QSU-B1 and the Red Eagle GB3271QSU-B2 have a 32” screen size built around a ‘Fast IPS’ panel and offer a QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution. There are a few notable differences in the two models which we will highlight below.
Gold Phoenix GB3290QSU-B1 and Red Eagle GB3271QSU-B2 Specs
Both the GB3290QSU-B1 and GB3271QSU-B2 are 32” in size (31.5” accurately) with a flat format. They feature a Fast IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 1ms MPRT response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, an 8-bit colour depth and a standard colour gamut.

One of the main differences in the two models is the refresh rate. The GB3290QSU-B1 offers a 240Hz refresh rate whereas the GB3271QSU-B2 has a more modest 180Hz refresh rate. Both are supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems and include certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme.

The new displays incorporate flicker free and blue light reducer technologies to offer a more comfortable viewing experience, and both stands offer tilt, height and swivel adjustments.
Finally, one further feature that deserves a mention is both monitors have a Black Tuner feature which allows the user to adjust the brightness and the dark shades, thus providing better visibility in shadowed areas, ensuring that nothing gets missed on the screen, which is imperative in gaming where every detail matters.

Connectivity
For data both offer 2x USB 3.2 Type-A and 2x USB Type-C (5Gbps, 7.5W), and have a headphone jack, however both offer slightly different specs in terms of video connections.
The Gold Phoenix GB3290QSU-B1 has 2x HDMI 2.1 ports and 1x DisplayPort input, whereas the Red Eagle GB3271QSU-B2 has 2x HDMI 2.0 ports and 1x DisplayPort input. The Gold Phoenix has 2x 2W speakers and the Red Eagle has 2x 4.5W speakers.

Availability and Pricing
Both the GB3290QSU-B1 and GB3271QSU-B2 are available to buy now with a recommended retail price of £319.99 for the Gold Phoenix model, and £249.99 for the Red Eagle. For latest availability and pricing please use our affiliate link here (Gold Phoenix model) and here (Red Eagle model).
