Acer Nitro XV275X Abiippr Unveiled with 27” 5K IPS Panel and Dual-Mode
Acer have launched a premium monitor aimed at both professionals and competitive gamers, thanks to its 5K resolution and dual-mode functionality. The Acer Nitro XV275X Abiippr (a ridiculous model name!), part of their Nitro XV5 series, is a 27” IPS display which boasts a 5120 x 2880 “5K” resolution and native 75Hz refresh rate which can be boosted to a generous 300Hz when switching to a 2560 x 1440 resolution by way of a dual-mode function. Acer Nitro XV275X Abiippr specs
This is a 27” sized screen, with a flat format, and is built around an IPS LCD technology panel. It features a 5120 x 2880 resolution, 218 PPI pixel density (Retina resolution level as Apple would call it), 0.5ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 600 nits brightness (SDR), 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% of the sRGB, 99% of the Adobe RGB and 97% of the DCI-P3 colour spaces. There is moderate HDR support with VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification.
The 75Hz / 300Hz refresh rates are supported by adaptive-sync for VRR and it’s certified under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme. The 5K native mode is obviously a fairly low refresh rate compared with some other gamer-focused displays with this resolution, but the dual-mode operation should provide a decent bump in speed for gaming situations.
The Acer Nitro XV275X Abiippr incorporates a fully ergonomic stand with a full range of tilt, height, rotate and swivel adjustments, with Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies included to help reduce eye strain and fatigue.
Connectivity
For connectivity there are 2x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 and a headphone jack.
