Philips Momentum 326M6VJRMB with 4K VA Panel and HDR 600

Philips are set to release a new 31.5″ sized display in their ‘Momentum’ lineup, the 326M6VJRMB (please simplify your product names Philips!) The screen has a fairly unusual “wire frame” design, including glossy black bezels and an unusual shaped stand. Philips Ambiglow lighting is included like on the larger 43″ Momentum display which illuminate the area beneath and behind the monitor and can adapt to the content being shown on the display or customised to your preferences.

The 326M6VJRMB is based on a VA technology panel from Innolux with a 3840 x 2160 UltraHD resolution. A 60Hz refresh rate is the limit here, but it does support Adaptive-Sync (and therefore AMD FreeSync) with a 40 – 60Hz range. In other specs there is a 4ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 typical brightness, 600 cd/m2 peak brightness for HDR (more on that in a moment), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide (and very specific!) 98.61% DCI-P3 colour space (135% sRGB).

The display is certified to the VESA DisplayHDR 600 standard with the necessary peak brightness, colour depth and colour gamut offered for HDR performance. Edge-lit local dimming is included and necessary for this certification.

Picture In Picture (PiP) and Picture By Picture (PbP) are supported. The stand has tilt and height adjustments only but can be removed for VESA 100 mounting if you need. There are DisplayPort 1.4, 3x HDMI 2.0, 4x USB 3.0 (2 with fast charging), 3.5mm audio input and a 3.5mm headphone jack provided for connectivity.

No word on price or release date yet.

Update 10/4/19 – this screen should be available before the end of April at a RRP of 599 Euro
