AOC AGON Pro AGP277QKM Announced with 27″ 425Hz IPS Panel and Mini-LED Backlight

AOC’s AGON Pro gaming line-up continues to flourish as they recently unveiled their AGP277QKM model in China. This screen will feature a 27” sized ‘Fast IPS’ panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 425Hz refresh rate. It will also boast a 1,152-zone Mini-LED backlight for high end HDR performance and brightness.

This is a 27” sized screen with a flat format and is built around a ‘Fast IPS’ LCD panel technology. It offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 109 PPI pixel density, 0.5ms G2G response time spec (0.3ms MPRT), 1300:1 contrast ratio, 450 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth, featuring 1.07 billion colours, and a wide colour gamut covering 98% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB colour spaces. It also offers factory calibrated Delta E<1 colour accuracy.

Low Blue Light and Flicker-free technologies are included, which are certified to TÜV Rheinland standards, to ensure a safe and comfortable viewing experience for your eyes.

The 425Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems. The display offers a wide range of other gaming-focussed features too, including Low Input Lag, Motion Blur Reduction, Shadow Control, Frame Colour, Dynamic Crosshairs, Sniper Scope, Dark Field Control, Dark Area Enhancement Game Colour, Game Modes and Aspect Ratio Control which allows users to switch between 27” and 24.5” screen sizes to suit different gaming scenarios.

1152 Zone Mini LED backlight

The 1,152-zone Mini LED backlight and Quantum Dot technology offer impressive HDR capabilities, with excellent local dimming, as well as certification under the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 tier, with a peak brightness spec of 1200 nits.

Other features and connectivity

The screen offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments, and the design includes a telescopic headphone hook for your convenience. There is also a customisable Light FX RGB ambient lighting feature built into the back of the panel too.

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 13.5 – not actually enough bandwidth to avoid DSC at this spec!) and 2xHDMI 2.1 ports for video, along with 3x USB Type-A data ports. In addition it also includes a headphone jack and PiP/PbP support for handling multiple devices.

The AOC AGON Pro AGP277QKM has only been launched in China so far, and further details on pricing and wider availability are pending.
