Dell Expected to Launch the Alienware AW3926QW – What We Know So Far

Final design TBC, this is from the 34″ AW3425DW model

A new certification granted on 27 April 2026 hints at the forthcoming release of a new Dell Alienware monitor although at this stage details are very limited. Based on the naming convention, the AW3926QW will be an Alienware line-up screen (“AW”) with a 39″ screen size and be released as part of their 2026 line-up (“3926”). It will offer a 2160p resolution (“Q”) and have an ultrawide aspect ratio (“W”). There is also an AW3926QWb listed, which could represent a slightly different spec version of the same panel, perhaps with varying connectivity choices.

Dell Alienware AW3926QW expected specs

This looks like it will be a 39″ ultrawide screen with a 5120 x 2160 “5K2K” resolution then, and this could therefore be an alternative to the recently launched LG UltraGear Evo 39GX950B that we recently reviewed. OLED is not specifically mentioned at this stage, but given the lack of 39″ LCD panels of this spec (that we know of), it seems likely Dell would continue with their OLED development. That would mean it will probably use the LG.Display Tandem WOLED panel that LG Electronics used for their model, which would be a break from tradition for Dell who have previously only used QD-OLED panels. Unless this is a previously unknown new QD-OLED panel, but we are not expecting that for 2026.

If this is using the LG Display Tandem WOLED panels then expect a 5120 x 2160 resolution, 143 PPI pixel density, a more subtle 1500R curvature, 0.03ms G2G response time, 335 nits SDR brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a 99.5% DCI-P3 colour gamut. That WOLED panel is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black tier and offers a peak brightness spec of 1500 nits (1.5% APL).

Before you ask – no, we don’t know if this will be glossy coated or matte coated at this stage. Feature set, design, connectivity etc are still to be confirmed.
