Philips Brilliance 27E3U7903 Specs

The screen, part of the Philips 7000 series,  and is 27” in size, built around an IPS technology LCD panel. It offers a 5120 x 2880 “5K” resolution, a very high 218 PPI pixel density, 4ms G2G response time spec, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 500 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit+FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99.5% of the Adobe RGB, 99% of the DCI-P3 and ~160% of the sRGB colour spaces. It also offers a factory calibrated Delta E<2  accuracy too.

While the screen only supports up to 70Hz refresh rate, it does still support adaptive-sync technology for VRR from compatible systems. In terms of HDR, it is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 600 tier and offers a peak brightness of 600 nits along with edge-lit local dimming capabilities.

For user comfort LowBlue Mode and Flicker Free technologies help reduce eye strain, and the screen meets TUV Rheinland Eyesafe standards to protect you from long exposure to blue light.

‘Calman Ready’ Calibration

The monitor comes certified with Calman Ready calibration which reduces the set-up time but not at the expense of the colour accuracy which is maintained to the highest colour standards. This automated process via Portrait Display’s Calman software “produces vibrant colours, known as ‘Hollywood-quality colour’ making this a game changer for colour professionals” Philips say.

Enhanced Productivity Features

Other features to aid productivity are the inclusion of MultiView technology which allows the user to work with multiple devices simultaneously. Also on offer is an integrated 5MP “AI Auto-framing” Webcam with Windows Hello support which automatically adjusts and zooms to ensure all persons present on the webcam view are shown in the frame, making it ideal for long meetings and team calls. The webcam includes a built-in mic as well.

Another useful feature which can be utilised is the PowerSensor 2 technology which can detect when users are close or away from the screen, putting the screen into sleep mode when the user is away from the screen, thus reducing energy consumption.

The screen also supports a “Smart KVM” function. Unlike traditional built-in KVM monitor button, the smart KVM allows for switching between sources with the click of a button on your keyboard. When all devices are properly connected, users can easily switch between sources by clicking the “Ctrl” key three times.

Stand adjustments and design

The screen has a professional looking and sleek design with a dark silver plastic enclosure and stand. The stand offers a full range of height, tilt, swivel and rotate adjustments

Anti-reflective glass screen coating

This monitor features an anti-reflection front glass panel helps reduce glare without compromising on the detail, delivering a sharp and crisp image while still maintaining some anti-reflection capabilities. It’s rated with a 7H hardness as well.

Extensive Connectivity

For connectivity there are 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x Thunderbolt 4 input (with DP Alt mode, 96W power delivery and data) and 1x Thunderbolt 4 output (with DP Alt mode, data and 15W power delivery) for daisy chaining. There will also be a USB Type-C data port (with 15W power delivery) and 2x USB-A ports, as well as a headphone jack, built in stereo speakers for multimedia (5W x 2) and Ethernet RJ45 connections.
