Philips 27E2F7901 Launched with 27″ 4K IPS Black Panel and USB Type-C Connectivity
Philips have launched their new 27E2F7901 monitor this week from their Creator series of displays. It’s aimed at professional and general uses and offers a 27″ sized screen with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, an IPS Black technology panel, and modern conveniences like USBV type-C and a KVM function.
Philips 27E2F7901 Specs
The screen is 27″ in size and has a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution IPS Black panel. This is a modern IPS panel technology from LG.Display, offering an increased contrast ratio of 2000:1. There’s also a 4ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit+FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 98% DCI-P3, 108.6% relative Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB. The screen comes factory calibrated with a dE < 2 and there’s also a Smart Uniformity feature to improve screen uniformity.
Connectivity and Features
For video connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0 and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode, 96W power delivery and data transmission) provided. There’s also a DisplayPort output for daisy chaining, along with an audio output, 1x USB-C data port (with 15W power delivery ) and 4x USB data ports. PiP and PbP modes are supported to handle multiple inputs, and there’s a built in KVM function too. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

The screen is available to buy now in the US at a retail price of ~$500 USD, from several retailers including Amazon and Newegg.
