Z-Edge INFINYX UG40P Announced with a 40″ Ultrawide 5K2K VA Panel and 180Hz / 360Hz Dual-Mode

Z-Edge are a display manufacturer you may be less familiar with, but one who are looking to expand their monitor range and global reach this year. As part of this they have unveiled an interesting new ultrawide curved screen in their ‘INFINYX’ line-up. The UG40P is set to feature a 40” VA panel with a 1000R curvature, 5120 x 2160 “5K2K” resolution and a native 180Hz refresh rate. To support faster gaming situations it will also offer dual-mode technology, the first screen of this size to feature this function that we’ve seen, where you can ramp up your refresh rate to a higher 360Hz when switching to a 2560 x 1080 (WFHD) resolution.

A brief intro to the Z-edge brand

Z-edge is a monitor brand you may not be too familiar with. As a very brief overview, Z-Edge (Zero Edge Technology LLC) are an American based company founded in 2015 producing a variety of electronic display screens and tech accessories. According to their website they are “dedicated to designing, developing and selling high-quality, high-performance products at valuable prices. Our mission is to combine cutting edge technology with modern design to create products that enhance your everyday life.”

One of their brand philosophies is “The Edge is Yours” which aligns with their aim of designing and producing monitors to help you gain a competitive edge in both your working and gaming life, and, despite them being based in the US they ship products to a number of other regions including Europe and Japan.
Z-Edge INFINYX UG40P Specs

An official product page and full specs for this screen are not yet available but we will provide you with the information that we do know. We have now received this screen for a full review in the coming months as well.

The UG40P is a 40″ sized screen (39.7″ accurately) and is built around a VA LCD technology panel. It offers a 5120 x 2160 resolution, 140 PPI pixel density, 1ms MPRT G2G response time spec, 21:9 aspect ratio (which means it provides 33% more horizontal screen space than traditional 16:9 aspect ratios), 3300:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The 180Hz / 360Hz will be supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems and offers support for NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. Interestingly it will also feature Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), a feature you don’t typically see on monitors but which is common on TV’s, which is designed to minimise input lag thus providing gamers with a smooth and more responsive gaming experience. It does this apparently by automatically switching to its low-lag game mode whenever you load a game whilst reverting to standard mode when you finish. There is also a specialised 24.5” esports mode built into the OSD menu which you can select for tournament gaming.

Other features that we know of at this time include Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies to help combat eye strain and fatigue, whilst the stand will offer a range of tilt, height and swivel adjustments. It also offers a useful horizontal/vertical fine-tuning micro-adjustment system which allows you to correct visual or desktop surface imbalances to provide a perfect viewing position.

Connectivity and extra features
The screen will include a USB Type-C connection (with DP Alt mode and 90W power delivery), which is especially useful as it enables single-cable docking, high-bandwidth display input, and rapid laptop charging without desktop cable clutter.
The screen also features a built-in KVM switch function, 3-screen PiP/PbP support for handling multiple devices, 2x USB-A 3.1 data ports and features integrated 2x 5W speakers. The 3-screen PiP/PbP support means it can handle simultaneous connection of three distinct video sources (e.g., work laptop, gaming PC, and console), which can then be controlled with a single keyboard and mouse set thanks to the KVM switch function. Z-Edge position this model as an all-round solution suitable for work and play.
Availability and pricing
This model is expected to be available to buy later in the summer 2026 at an MSRP of $799 USD which is an attractive price point for a screen of this size and spec. We will be featuring a full review of this screen in the coming months as well to explore this interesting new display.
You can find the Z-edge storefront on Amazon for various key regions including the US and UK via our affiliate link here which includes all their screens, and the UG40P will be added there once it’s available.
