Dell Announce the UltraSharp U5226KW, a Massive 52” Ultrawide Monitor with 6K Resolution

Dell have announced today their new 52” UltraSharp Thunderbolt Hub monitor, designed for financial traders, data scientists, engineers and executives who need a super large screen and high resolution for managing multiple applications and windows. It’s supposed to be a replacement for multi-screen setups and offers a 6K-ultrawide resolution (6144 x 2560) of from its curved IPS Black technology LCD panel. Compared to a setup with two 27-inch QHD monitors and one 43-inch 4K monitor, it offers 61,000 more pixels and 25% higher pixel density for sharper, more detailed content—all while using less physical space.

Dell UltraSharp U5226KW Specs
The screen is 51.5” in size (52” class) and has a very subtly curved format (4200R) and a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio. It’s built around an IPS Black panel which offers a 6K ultrawide resolution of 6144 x 2560, and which gives it a pixel density of 129 PPI. There’s a 5ms G2G response time spec, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit + FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB.

It offers a moderate 120Hz refresh rate for smoother motion and a more enjoyable overall experience, even for office applications. Adaptive-sync is supported for VRR. The screen has a matte anti-glare coating
Connectivity including Thunderbolt 4
Users can connect up to four PCs simultaneously. A new internal multi-stream transport feature that functions in conjunction with picture-by-picture, treats each partitioned screen as an individual monitor. Built in KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) features let you control all connected PCs with a single keyboard and mouse.

A single-cable Thunderbolt 4 connection, compatible with both Windows and macOS, delivers up to 140W of power to charge your laptop. The monitor also features pop-out quick access ports, including 2x 27W USB-C and 1x 10W USB-A, for easy connection to various peripherals. There’s also 1x RJ45 2.5Gbps Ethernet connection, 2x USB-A and 1x USB-C ports on the back of the screen. There’s also 2x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 connections.
Other features
The screen also offers integrated 2x 9W speakers and the optional stand offers tilt, swivel, height and slant adjustments. The screen features a built-in ambient light sensor and the spec sheet also implies (although doesn’t explicitly mention) the support for hardware level calibration, using their Color Management software and a third party calibration tool.

Pricing and Availability
The Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U5226KW) will be priced at US $2,899.99 (with stand) and US$2,799.99 (without stand), and will be available globally beginning January 6, 2026. To stay up to date on all our news, reviews and coverage from CES 2026 you can follow our tracker here.
