Asus Unveil a New 34″ QD-OLED Monitor with Google Smart TV at Computex 2025

We had chance to see Asus’s new 34″ ultrawide QD-OLED monitor at Computex this week. The ROG Strix XG34WCDMTG uses a Gen 2 QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display with a 240Hz refresh rate and an 1800R curvature. It’s the first 34″ ultrawide OLED monitor in their range to use QD-OLED technology in fact, having previously used the steeper 800R curved LG.Display WOLED panels for models like the ROG Swift PG34WCDM. This upcoming screen also integrates Google Smart TV functionality and offers a range of features and specs for flexible viewing scenarios.

Asus ROG Strix XG34WCDMTG Specs
The screen is 34″ in size with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a subtle 1800R curvature. It has a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 178/178 viewing angles and a wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3. While not listed on the spec card, this is a familiar panel and so should offer 1000 nits peak brightness for HDR (3% APL) and certification under the VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black tier. The 240Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems. The screen will be backed by Asus’s ‘OLED Care Pro‘ range of burn-in mitigation features.

Embedded Google TV
The screen has embedded Google TV Android 14 version, with pre-loaded NVIDIA GeForce Now. It comes with a handy remote control to make accessing all the built in apps and streaming services simple. This can also be used to control the OSD menu and settings and seemed snappy and intuitive during our brief hands-on testing.

As this is a hybrid TV/monitor combination, it also features integrated 2x 5W speakers for sound, and those support Dolby Atmos. There’s also support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR content. The integrated Wi-Fi 6.0 offers simple connectivity for all the built-in functions.
Pricing and availability
The screen is expected to be released in Q3 at an RRP of $1,049 USD
