Asus ProArt PA32UCXR with 31.5″ 4K IPS Panel and 2304-zone Mini LED Backlight
At this week’s Computex event Asus are showcasing their new ProArt PA32UCXR monitor, part of their professional range of displays. The PA32UCXR is 31.5″ in size and sports a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution IPS panel. It also has a very high end, and high zone count 2304-zone Mini LED backlight for excellent local dimming capabilities and HDR support. This is ideal for HDR content creation and consumption and will allow a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits, and a sustained brightness of 1000 nits. Multiple HDR formats are supported including HDR10 and HLG.
Self-calibration is also supported by the built-in motorized flip colorimeter allowing for easy and accurate re-calibration over time. The screen also has a wide colour gamut backlight with 97% DCI-P3 coverage quoted and a 10-bit colour depth panel.
Asus ProArt PA24ACRV also showcased
Also being showcased at the event is a smaller 23.8″ sized ProArt screen, the PA24ACRV. This has a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut and comes factory calibrated with a ‘Calman Verified’ dE <2. DisplayPort, HDMI and USB type-C connectivity is included, with the latter offering 96W power delivery.
