AOC have posted a teaser video of a new monitor that is apparently going to be released in January, although this won’t be on show at CES next week as AOC are not attending. The AOC AGON PRO AGP277KX is a 27″ sized IPS LCD screen with a native 5120 x 2880 “5K” resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, with support for a dual-mode function for 330Hz at 1440p.

AOC AGON PRO AGP277KX Specs

Full specs are not provided at the moment but the screen is built around an “UltraFast IPS” LCD panel. AOC do list a 0.3ms response time (take this with a pinch of salt on an LCD), 10-bit colour depth, 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and factory calibration with dE <1. Interestingly AOC also list “STW full viewing angle compensation”, which appears to be some kind of film (maybe like the old A-TW film?) for improving viewing angles and reducing colour shift.

They list DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR tier not provided), HDMI 2.1 and USB type-C connectivity. More info and specs when we get them.
