Samsung Odyssey G60F Launched with 27″ 1440p 350Hz IPS Panel

Samsung have announced a new gaming monitor in their Odyssey G6 series. The G60F (S27FG60) is a 27” sized screen with a ‘Fast IPS’ LCD panel, a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution and a 350Hz refresh rate. This follows the release of the G60SF model back in May which was a 27″ 1440p QD-OLED monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate, and although it doesn’t reach the heights of the previous model in terms of specs, the G60F is a great all-rounder set at a more modest price point if you’re interested in an LCD screen instead.
Samsung Odyssey G60F Specs

This screen is 27” in size with a flat format. It’s built around a ‘Fast IPS’ LCD technology panel which offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 1ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and a standard colour gamut covering 99% of the sRGB colour space.

The high 350Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems (with a VRR window of 48 – 350Hz), with certification granted under NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ schemes. Other gaming features include Black Equaliser, Virtual AIM Point, Super Arena Gaming UX and Auto Source Switch.

HDR support is limited to basic VESA DisplayHDR 400 level, therefore offering a peak brightness of only 400 nits. HDR10 format content is supported on this monitor too.
It’s matte anti-glare coating and Flicker-free technologies, and Eye Saver Mode allow for a more comfortable viewing experience for longer periods. The stand comes with tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments to enable you to find that sweet spot to allow confident gaming.

Connectivity
For connectivity there is 1xHDMI 2.1 port, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and a headphone jack.
