LG’s latest UltraFine 32U990A monitor is the world’s first 6K high-resolution monitor to come with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, which Apple introduced late last year with the launch of new Mac mini and MacBook Pro models powered by M4 Pro chips. Featuring an IPS Black panel, it is designed to deliver exceptional colour accuracy and a high contrast with a wide colour gamut covering 99.5% of Adobe RGB and 98% of DCI-P3.

With hardware calibration support, this monitor is aimed at media professionals, while its slim, geometric design enhances both aesthetics and user convenience to satisfy every kind of user.

The 4-sided borderless design increases immersion, maximize desk space efficiency. Users maintain a neat workspace for enjoyable/efficient work thanks to the circular design of the stand, enhancing space utilization. The stand provides features such as like tilt/height/pivot. Users can adjust the screen by adjusting the height/angle and read long documents in vertical direction as well if they want.

Other details are very limited at this time, but it received a CES 2025 Innovation Award – although we didn’t spot this on show at their booth at the event. It has more recently shown up on the iF design award site as well where more photos were also provided. More info when we get it.
