Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF 4K 165Hz Monitor Officially Launched with Glasses-free 3D

As we briefly discussed back in January, Samsung have now released their Odyssey 3D G90XF monitor. It’s a 27″ IPS LCD gaming monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, with its main selling point being its support for glasses-free 3D content. Advanced eye-tracking technology and proprietary lenticular lens are used to deliver natural-looking 3D images and are accessible via Samsung’s Reality Hub app. The screen also offers AI 3D video conversion so that you can enjoy your standard content upscaled to 3D on this screen.

Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF Specs
The screen is built around an IPS technology LCD panel with a flat format. It offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 1ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a standard colour gamut covering 99% sRGB. The 165Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR, with the screen also certified under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’, NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ schemes. There’s very limited HDR support from a hardware point of view given this is an LCD monitor, but the screen can support HDR10 and HDR10+ content.

The screen also offers some “Edge Lighting”, which provides LEDs around the bottom of the monitor which detect and match the colours of your screen to bring the visual experience closer to reality.
Connectivity
For video connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 connections. There’s also 2x USB data ports available along with 2x 5W integrated speakers.

Pricing and availability
The G90XF is available to buy from various major retailers at a price of $1999.99 USD, you can check latest pricing and availability here.
