LG UltraGear 34GX900A Launched with a 34″ Ultrawide OLED Panel and 240Hz Refresh Rate

LG have recently launched a further addition in their UltraGear GX9 gaming series. The LG 34GX900A is identical in specs to the LG 45GX900A we covered recently in everything but its size and offers a smaller alternative to the 45″ version, featuring a 34” sized screen, built around a LG.Display WOLED panel and offering a 3440 x 1440p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate.
LG 34GX900A Specs

The screen is 34″ in size with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 34% wider than standard 16:9 screens. It features a steep 800R curvature WOLED panel and offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time spec, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 275 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The 240Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’, NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and VESA ‘AdaptiveSync’ schemes. For HDR it is certified under the VESA ‘DisplayHDR 400 True Black’ tier and offers a peak brightness of 1300 nits. This is made possible thanks to the use of MLA+ (Micro Lens Array) technology as opposed to any of LG.Display’s newer 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem panels.
It includes all the normal LG gaming features such as FPS Counter, Dynamic Action Sync, Black Stabiliser and Crosshair.

Like the LG45GX900A there is a LG Switch app function which converts your screen into a hub for work, gaming and streaming. It also allows you to customise various settings such as image quality and brightness, then apply these settings with a hotkey depending on what’s on the screen.
Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies combined with an anti-glare surface provides a more comfortable viewing experience.
The stand offers a range of tilt, height and swivel adjustments, and the screen features RGB hexagonal backlighting on the back. It also comes with a 2-year limited warranty and panel care tools to help the longevity of the panel.

Connectivity
For connectivity there are 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 input, 1x USB Type-C Port with DP Alt Mode and 65W power delivery. There is also a headphone jack and integrated stereo speakers
