Asus ProArt OLED PA32UCDM Launched with 32″ 4K 240Hz QD-OLED Panel for Professional Users

Asus have unveiled their latest ProArt series monitor, aimed at professional users and with a focus on colour accuracy and performance. The ProArt PA32UCDM might sound a familiar model name; it’s the ProArt series equivalent to the gaming-series ROG Swift PG32UCDM in fact that we’ve previously reviewed. It uses the same 31.5″ Samsung Display QD-OLED panel as the ROG version, with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. However, rather than loads of gaming features and extras, this model is packed with other features to enhance accuracy, connectivity and user-experience for other uses.

Target audience and colour capabilities
The screen is aimed at a variety of professional uses. The high resolution, wide colour gamut and true-black performance are well-suited to filmmakers and video editors producing content in 4K HDR. Designers, photographers and colorists can have faith in the high levels of accuracy on offer from this screen too, with the screen being factory calibrated with a “world leading dE” of <1 provided. Hardware calibration of the monitors internal LUT is supported as well using Asus’ ‘ProArt Calibration’ software. Alternatively it is Calman-ready and supports the Portrait Displays Calman software and Light Illusion ColourSpace software. Game developers and 3D/VFX artists have access to a high 240Hz refresh rate and excellent OLED motion clarity too

Asus ProArt PA32UCDM Specs
The screen is 31.5″ in size with a flat format. The Gen 3 Samsung Display QD-OLED panel offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, ~140 PPI pixel density, 0.1ms G2G response time, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3.

The OLED panel makes it very well suited to HDR content creation and consumption, with support for multiple HDR formats offered here. There’s HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision HDR compatibility. The screen has a 1000 nits peak brightness spec, and meets the VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification tier.
A wide range of OLED care features are provided including a proximity sensor to turn the screen off when you move away, and the screen is backed by a 3 year warranty which includes burn-in cover. An ambient light sensor is also featured to dynamically control the screen brightness depending on your ambient light conditions.

Connectivity
The PA32UCDM offers 2x Thunderbolt 4 connections with up to 96W power delivery and support for daisy chaining, as well as 1x HDMI 2.1. There’s support for PiP and PbP modes to handle multiple inputs. There’s also a built in USB hub with 1x USB-A and 1x USB-C ports available, along with 2x 3W integrated speakers. The stand offers tilt, height and rotate adjustments.

The Asus ProArt PA32UCDM is available to buy now from B&H Photo at a price of $1,899 USD. For loads more information about the Asus ProArt range, features and technologies, check out our detailed article here.
