AOC U27G3XM Launched with 27″ 4K IPS Panel, 160Hz and Mini LED Backlight

AOC have launched a new model in their range in China, which will likely make its way to other regions at some point soon too. The AOC U27G3XM is a 27″ sized screen featuring a 4K resolution, 160Hz refresh rate and a Mini LED backlight for HDR.
AOC U27G3XM Specs
The new screen is 27″ in size and is built around an IPS-type panel. It has a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 1ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, a 1.07b colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 98% DCI-P3 thanks to its Quantum Dot coating. The screen also comes factory calibrated with a dE <2 in its sRGB mode apparently. It has a 160Hz refresh rate, with support for adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 (capabilities not listed) for video, along with 2x USB data ports and an audio output. PiP and PbP modes are also supported. The stand supports a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

576-zone Mini LED backlight
One of the key features of this new screen is its 576-zone Mini LED backlight (with 2304 LED’s apparently), supporting a high level of local dimming for HDR content. This also allows for a 1200 nits peak brightness in HDR, and along with the pre-requisite colour gamut and colour depth capabilities already mentioned, this means the screen conforms to the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification tier.
Pricing and availability
The U27G3XM is listed in China at a price of 3499 yuan, which is approximately $480 USD. More info on availability and pricing in other regions when we get it.
