Acer Predator 27″ 1440p XB273U V3 and 28″ 4K XB283K V3 Monitors Released
Acer have recently announced a couple of new screens in their popular Predator gaming line-up. There’s a 27″ model (XB273U V3) with 1440p resolution and 180Hz refresh rate, as well as a slightly larger 28″ model (XB283K V3) with 4K resolution and 150Hz refresh rate. More information on both models below, which have the same overall design and style by the way (hence just one set of pictures).
Acer Predator XB273U V3 Specs
This model is 27″ in size and build around an IPS-type panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. It has a 0.5ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space.
It has a 180Hz refresh rate, which is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR and is expecting to include the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ certifications. The stand offers a full range of ergonomic adjustments with tilt, height, swivel and rotate functions. For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort and 2x HDMI 2.0 for video, along with a headphone jack. The screen also includes some basic 2x 2W integrated speakers.
The XB273U V3 is listed for $349.99 USD on the manufacturers website and is available on Amazon in the US already (affiliate link). Availability and pricing in other regions still TBC.
Acer Predator XB283K V3 Specs
This model is 28″ in size and build around an IPS-type panel (Innolux AAS technology to be precise) with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution. It has a 1ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, a 10-bit colour depth, and an extended colour gamut covering 90% of the DCI-P3 colour space.
It has a 150Hz refresh rate, which is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR and is expecting to include the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ certifications. The stand offers a full range of ergonomic adjustments with tilt, height, swivel and rotate functions. For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC) and 2x HDMI 2.1 (capabilities not listed) for video, along with a headphone jack. The screen also includes some basic 2x 2W integrated speakers.
The XB283K V3 is listed for $499.99 USD on the manufacturers website but is available on Amazon in the US already at a lower price currently (affiliate link). Availability and pricing in other regions still TBC.
