AOC have introduced their AGON AG275UXM2 Mini LED gaming monitor which features a 27” sized ‘Fast IPS’ panel, 4K resolution and native 160Hz refresh rate. When you want to prioritise frame rates over immersive visuals, a dual-mode function is available allowing you to double your refresh rate to 320Hz when dropping to a lower 1080p resolution. For high-end HDR performance, the combination of Quantum Dot colour with an expanded 2,304 local dimming zones (with 9,216 mini LED’s) offers a great hardware combination.

This is an upgrade to their AG275UXM model which was launched in 2024, offering improvements in the Mini LED backlighting, brightness and HDR with the addition of dual-mode functionality. It is seemingly one of their most advanced products in terms of display technologies, one which they have even branded as their “flagship model”.

AOC AGON AG275UXM2 Specs

This is a 27” sized screen, with a flat format, built around a ‘Fast IPS’ LCD technology panel. It boasts a native 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 163 PPI pixel density, 1ms G2G responses time spec (0.5ms MPRT at 4K and 0.3ms MPRT at FHD), 1000:1 contrast ratio, 600 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 98% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB colour spaces. It also offers a factory calibrated Delta E<1 colour accuracy.

HDR capabilities are high-end thanks to the 2,304-zone Mini-LED backlight and Quantum Dot technology, offering excellent local dimming, as well as certification under the VESA DisplayHDR 1400 tier and offering a peak brightness of 1600 nits, with the Mini LED backlight helping to deliver deeper blacks and brighter whites.

The native 160Hz / 320Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems and AMD ‘FreeSync’. Other gaming features include Low Input Lag, Crosshair, Sniper Scope, Dark Field Control, Dark Area Enhancement, Frame Counter, Shadow Control Game Colour and Game Modes. The addition of AOC’s G-Menu allows you to customise your set-up to suit your gaming preferences.

LowBlue Light and Flicker-free technologies help reduce eye strain and fatigue during those long hours gaming, and the stand comes with a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. A built-in headphone hook is also incorporated in the design for your convenience whilst AGON’s Gaming LightFX feature allows you to customise the RGB lighting on the back for a more immersive experience.

Connectivity

There is an array of connectivity options too including 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 3x USB Type-A data ports and 1x USB Type-C (with DP Alt Mode and a 65W power delivery). In addition it also offers a KVM switch function, PiP/PbP support for handling multiple devices and a headphone jack.
